The International Trade and Transportation Committee (AT020) is a committee of the Transportation Research Board (TRB). Part of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, TRB is a non-profit organization that does the following:
- Provides innovative, research-based solutions to improve transportation
- Provides independent, objective, and interdisciplinary solutions
- Manages transportation research by producing publications and online resources
- Convenes experts that help to develop solutions to problems and issues facing transportation professionals
- Provides advice through its policy studies that tackle complex and often controversial issues of national significance
The International Trade and Transportation Committee (AT020) is concerned with:
- Regional, national, international, and multinational policy issues related to international trade and transportation (which includes inter-country movements and their domestic connections)
- Trends and market forces in trade and international transportation
- Technological, economic, financial, institutional, or logistical innovations
- Barriers to international trade in transportation goods and services
The International Trade and Transportation Committee (AT020) was awarded with 2022 TRB Blue Ribbon Award.
